Its was a fine review, but your forced input of the BP movie and its sequel hindered this, more than fine to dislike and dispise it in any way you see fit, I don't see how you would've depicted Wakanda any better, and also that sexist crack, ain't it, you might need to learn how to critique better.

Why get antsy over these designs? They nor you don't speak for what works and doesn't.

It's not just the change in physical appearance, though making Deathstroke (who isn't even a Superman villain usually) into a pretty boy is a sin and Steel's exosuit isn't as cool to me as the armor in the comics, but that outside of Clark and his Earth parents, nothing is recognizable in appearance or personality from what I've seen for decades as a DC fan in general and Superman specifically. Had this been the anime style adventures of Spaceman and a bunch of new characters I'd probably totally be into this show, but when you try to tell me this is Superman and friends (and enemies) I have such a disconnect from it mentally that I just can't get into it.

I kinda want to believe that Clayface isn't really in danger, he's just here for the drama.

About the villains having the same origin for their powers, we gotta be realistic here: the show has 8 30minutes episodes per season... I honestly don't want a "villain of the week" show that lasts only 8 episodes. We already have more villains than episodes, how would they develop Clark, Lois, Jimmy and at the same time all of these villains' distinct origins for the villains like -Livewire -Parasite -Invisible guy -Silver Banshee -Punch guy -Mr Mxzptlyk -Wallar -Sam Lane -Heatwave -Kryptonian stuff Like... It's impossible D: The only person to blame here is networks that now only buy packs of 10 episodes or less from shows, making creators figure out some sort of glue to get the actual plot moving. I do agree designs could be less familiar from now on though, Livewire reappeared and she could have a design a bit more familiar to the "classic".

Other than all the villains looking kinda same-y, there were only a few designs I was t a fan of. I haven’t been the biggest fan of recent Lex’s. The old animated design is just too iconic. Slade also looks perhaps a little too metal gear revengeance inspired. All the race changing was a bit odd. Like jimmys new design is fine, it just feels weird to change the race of such a major character. Honestly these are very minor gripes, really it’s the bad looking 3D animation that I dislike.

The villains look like characters from a generic hero shooter

The designs remind me of Marvel's Spider-Man 2017...like its the same team that worked on it...but even the villain designs in that show are BETTER. Although they are ALL MUCH INFERIOR to the Patrick Brown marketing Material As for this Outside of the main cast...the Villain characters design outside of Kara, Brainiac, Damage and Atomic Skull...SUCK😭. Would you look at that...the more Comic Accurate designs...look GREAT...well I'l be. As they say:If it aint BROKE...DO NOT FIX IT😑 Atomic Skull looks dope and so is Damage and Parasites Mech suit is pretty dope. Love Karas suit

Ya know, the designs actually grown on me, It’s just that I was hoping that they made the one side on Deathstroke’s black after he lost his eye to make it alittle more comic accurate.

I have no problems with the style contaminated by anime, I like anime and I like the results of the character design, equally I also appreciate any reinterpretations such as Lois Lane young tomboy and black Jimmy. However, perhaps dressing Kara up as Android 18 and making her wear armor that is clearly an Evangelion unit is a bit too much, it goes beyond homage and becomes something inelegant that looks more like a fanfic than doing good for the material you have on hand. My 2 cents.

I’ve noticed throughout time and especially now, people don’t really like change or don’t give it a new idea for something a chance to become popular or iconic until it stays long enough for people to like it or if it becomes popular cuz the story it’s in is received well. And people will either switch up or tolerate (unless they wanna be stubborn or really do feel that way) the change when the movie or show or form of media is good but will rag on any changes even harder if it’s bad. And in a way it doesn’t really matter and isn’t really a big deal if u think about it. Like just look at Celtic/pre Celtic fairies and fairies now. Or how vampires used to be ugly and bloated. And it wasn’t just Disney or other more kid friendly outlets who changed pre alpha cryptids to god mothers. Hell even Disney changing messed up stuff for kids isn’t bad, led to iconic characters and fanfic- interpretations of fairy tales. More options, variety, and content people like. Hell there’s a reason James Gunn lives obscure characters… cuz he can do whatever he wants and the non existent fans literally can’t complain and thankfully they’ve been good changes. There are changes I don’t like but I’m kinda done pretending or acting like that actually gets to dictate what should be done with these already existing characters. Lotta people say just make ur own OC when they change them but then either don’t see it and stick to what they already are familiar with or shit on it for anything even if it ain’t bad. I’d prefer if many of the villains were actually biologically super-powered but many seem to act like it has to be what they like or what’s been popular before. Making statements. Some at least are able to explain why it should be this way but even then fiction be fiction and change will just happen. Hell the timmverse changing so much is why we have so much stuff that people don’t want changed but just give it a chance. At least let it have an opportunity to become popular and iconic. Also not liking a show cuz ur not horny enough when u see a drawing is crazy.

The only design I don't like is Slade, specifically his mask. I'm fine with his face, I do miss the goatee beard he has but the origin story aspect of the show gives that a pass (but seriously he better grow that back). The mask though . . . I don't like it, I think they overcomplicated it with the skull design and the split orange and black colors are gone, it's just orange. Hopefully now that he's missing his eye they'll bring back the split colors, but I *really* dislike he skull design. That's it, I'm quite satisfied with everyone else, and because of the origin story aspect I do believe that traditional designs will make a comeback, like Lex going bald or Kara wearing her Supergirl outfit instead of her Imperial armor, I think everyone else will get similar treatment. Edit: AND METALLO! I don't like the design for the character . . . BUT as a robot army force, yeah it's fine, passable. But for a good Metallo design, they need to do what they did in the animated series: Human with spooky robotic endoskeleton, or y'know, just the spooky robotic endoskeleton, either one works.
